The 25 mm safety connector is a fastener used in many industries. The product consists of two elements: a male part (fork) and a female part (cap). They are used to fasten and unfasten connected straps. The cap and fork have a hole through which the threaded strap should be sewn – with the end attached to the strap. When connected in this way, they form a single unit. In the event of danger, e.g. when working with a machine, if we do not exercise sufficient caution and the strap hanging around our neck gets caught, we can unfasten the connector with a vigorous jerk of the head and remove it, preventing accidents or protecting our life. The same applies to animals. Cats jumping over a fence may get caught on protruding wires with their collar. If the collar has a safety connector, the cat will free itself and save its life.
Safety connectors are made of high-quality POM (polyacetal) material, which is rigid and resistant to breakage, but ensures easy release (unfastening) of the product when necessary.
The connector is fastened by joining two elements together, namely by inserting the fork into the cap. To ensure that it is correctly closed, you should hear a characteristic clicking sound. Then, to unfasten the product, pull the two protruding ends simultaneously and pull them apart.
